About the job

My client who is a main contractor that works in the water industry has an exciting opportunity for Water Specialist to join our team to work in Birmingham.

Role Purpose:

Co-ordinate with discipline leads on the development of the Basis of Design in Surface water/ Groundwater & Water Resources and monitoring plan.

What you'll be doing:

Develop robust and comprehensive WFRMP and any surface water/Groundwater design deliverables to deal with environmental risks

Accountable for fit for purpose surface water/groundwater and WFRMP design methodologies and assumptions that can withstand external scrutiny

Review of design deliverables related to surface water /groundwater & WFRMP

Management, coordination, and assurance of surface water/groundwater compliance during the construction stage (temporary works) and assurance of surface water/groundwater compliance for the permanent design

What we're looking for:

Member of an environmental/water professional body

A sound understanding of hydrogeology, surface water/ groundwater and dewatering monitoring design on major infrastructure schemes

Good experience of temporary dewatering process and design

Good experience of surface water and groundwater monitoring design

Experienced with dealing with Environmental Agency, water companies and LA on such issues
