Job Title: Technical Solutions (Geoenvironmental) Engineer
Location : Birmingham
Salary £25,000 - £30,000 plus bonus and commission
About The Role
To support the delivery of our operations, we are inviting applications for the position of a Technical Solutions / Geo Environmental Engineer who will responsible in securing office based leads, maintain existing client base and develop new business opportunities within the construction sector for water treatment solutions. This role will be home based within the Midlands area .
Role responsibilities:
Lead technical sales enquiries through proactive engagement customers, conducting necessary site visits, providing quotations and overseeing the delivery of opportunities.
Compose technical and commercial proposals with appropriate level of detail
Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining our products and services to existing and prospective customers.
To provide pre and post-sales support from initial enquiry to final commissioning and maintenance.
Ensure that proposals are delivered inline with governance process and cost plans for rental and sale solutions which are aligned to deliver the business to maximise growth plans.
Update, manage and analyse the organisations Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to understand domestic market trends.
Work closely with in-house laboratory to collate and communicate test results for use within technical proposals and reports.
Provide ongoing support to clients through technical advice and the provision of critical component items for continued aftersales care.
Provide appropriate support to site installation teams in the timely provision of information and where necessary site work
Provide online support to website visitors via interactive portal.
Carry out end of contract customer satisfaction surveys.
Pro-active sales and marketing of the company's equipment and solutions, including representing the company at trade shows / events, and where required, conduct short presentations to client groups.
Preparation of PQQ and tender submissions.
Work closely with project / solution teams for more complex work but maintain Client relationship / ownership
Adhere to company systems and procedures and assist in their ongoing development.
Maintain good communications with and assist colleagues in the company where required.
To create revenue forecasts and summary of pipeline opportunities to assist with budgeting purposes.
Work to meet with monthly targets and monitor actual revenue vs projected revenue.
Qualifications and Skills:
Good history of B2B sales experience.
Scientific background advantageous
Experience of water treatment techniques would be preferable however in-house training programme will be delivered to the successful candidate.
Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey technical content and adapt style to suit target audience.
Competent in the use of Office 365 notably Excel and Word.
Understanding and use of Microsoft Dynamics CRM is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
A lateral thinker with attention for detail and good business acumen.
A systematic approach for creating content with a commercial backdrop
Degree educated in preferably either a scientific or engineering discipline with a vested interest in the environment
Team player, approachable and a desire for personal development

Willingness to travel within the UK
