Senior Structural Design Engineer

Our client is a multidisciplinary consultancy operating in the building design, civil engineering, environment, management and transport sectors. An excellent opportunity has arisen for senior structural design engineers to join an already existing team in their London / Exeter locations.

What you’ll be doing:  

- You will undertake conceptual, preliminary and detailed design calculations for buildings in steel, concrete, masonry & timber.  

- Able to assess condition and lead development  

- Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of the use of design software’s such as STAAD, Tekla TSD, ROBOT, Revit, AutoCAD.  

- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight project schedules within cost constraints.  

- Ability to lead structural design tasks by overseeing projects, providing guidance to junior engineers and coordinating with project team.  

- Excellent client facing skills.  

- Preparation of technical specifications, technical reports, design calculations, and consultancy during the construction phase.

- Has project experience working in:  

- Residential  

- Commercial  

- Industrial  

- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering  

- Minimum 5 years of UK professional related experience in structural design  

- A Chartered or near Chartered engineer with IStructE
