Job Title : Quantity Surveyor ( Civils / Water) 

Location; Cambridge 

Salary : £45,000 - £50,000 


About the job 

We are recruiting quantity surveyors to work in our wholesale directorate on a variety of non-infrastructure projects to manage the risks, control costs and maximise value by enhancing efficient ways of working. 


Key responsibilities 

administration and approvals tracking of the capital investment programme 

administering NEC3 and 4 contracts 

capturing changes during the lifecycle of a project 

authorising work valuations and allocating costs to the correct budgets 

budget forecasting and analysing variances to forecast 

trending performance measures set for our delivery partners 

month-end reporting 

About You 


The successful candidate will be: 

educated to degree level or equivalent in quantity surveying, engineering or construction. 

able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills 

fully conversant with Microsoft Office. 

able to confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels, take the lead in monthly commercial review meetings and 

able to demonstrate a good understanding of NEC3 and 4 (New Engineering Contract) methodology. 

A valid UK driving licence is essential as this role will require travel within our regions.
