Job Title: Project Manager (Water / Utilities)

Location: London

Salary : £60,000 - £65,000 plus £6,000 car allowance

Description

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible in ensuring a project is completed on time and within budget, the projects objectives are met and that everyone else is doing their job correctly. You will oversee the project to ensure the desired result is achieved, the most efficient resources are used and the different interests involved are satisfied.

KEY ROLE DELIVERABLES

• Agreeing the timescales, costs and resources needed to deliver the project

• Selecting and leading a project team

• Negotiating with contractors and suppliers for materials and services

• Reporting regularly on progress to the client

• Maintaining effective communication with stakeholders

• Resolving any issues/ delays which may occur

• Communicating with clients, contractors, colleagues and suppliers on the progress of a project

• Demonstrating knowledge of all areas of construction

• Making sure all paperwork is done for making bids and spending

• Liaising with clients, statutory bodies and utility companies.

• Any other reasonable requests as required by the needs of the business

• It is expected that all of your behaviours and day to day activities will be underpinned by the company core values.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• HNC/HND

• Valid CSCS Card

• SMSTS

• SEATS

• Experience of working with water, electric, and gas main laying

• Previous working experience within project management

• Computer literate

ESSENTIAL AND DESIRABLE SKILLS

• Strong organisational and management skills

• Proven technical and project management skills

• Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM regulations

• Detailed knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues relevant to the project environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
