Our clients Water Infrastructure Team in Ireland is looking for a highly driven Senior / Principal Civil Engineer to provide regional technical leadership. Working with a well-established multi-disciplinary team on a range of water infrastructure and wastewater infrastructure feasibility and design projects, this role will see you contributing to, and leading, projects throughout Ireland.
You will be responsible for working with internal and external clients, in an effort to cross sell our service capabilities. You will play an active role in contributing to reports and tenders, and will develop your Project Management skills and commercial acumen. Your well refined networking and client-service skills will allow you to have a strong reach across industries and within relevant water authorities, enabling you to contribute to the continued growth of our business.
• 15+ years’ relevant professional experience;
• Experience working on Water Infrastructure Projects within a dynamic consulting and design environment
• Experience of leading a multi-disciplinary team to complete technical project delivery.
• Experience in the production of water/wastewater treatment feasibility/appraisal studies.
• Experience in the production of outline and detailed civil engineering designs for major sewerage infrastructure and non-infrastructure schemes.
• Experience in maintaining internal project management systems e.g. health and safety, programming, and financial governance systems.
• Experience with either NEC/FIDIC/GCC suite of contracts. Experience in a role which involved client management responsibilities.
• You will mentor Senior Engineers/Engineers to promote their technical and professional development
• You will require strong oral and written communication skills;
• Demonstrated time management and organisational skills;
• Demonstrated commercial acumen, and the ability to contribute to bid development;
• Ability to travel for site visits (day trips and longer stays).
• Detailed knowledge of one or more of the following; Clean water networks, pump stations, reservoirs and treatment works design. Waste water networks including gravity systems, rising mains and treatment works design. Surface water network including gravity networks, pump stations and outfalls.
• Accustomed to working at the highest levels of HSSE compliance at all design stages
