Due to the continued success of our Client's internal delivery, my client is investing and growing their MEICA team in Bath, and have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and confident Project Manager to join the team!  

 

Job Description:  

 

The MEICA Project Manager takes full responsibility for the delivery of engineering projects in both supply and waste disciplines throughout their region. The success of each project is measured against health and safety, quality, cost and time parameters, as well as stakeholder satisfaction.  

 

The engineering and construction business provide a fully integrated turnkey service, ranging from feasibility through design, construction and commissioning. It encompasses all aspects of programme and project management, on site civils and MEICA construction activities including commissioning. These activities are completed utilising our in-house expertise and direct resources at all stages, as well as our supply chain.  

 

You will take ownership of the project delivery and will be the main point of contact for all contractors, suppliers and business stakeholders associated with it. You will ensure the project scope matches the brief and is delivered in accordance with our Client's processes, procedures and quality standards, creating and managing the project delivery and resourcing plans for each project will be a key aspect of this role. You’ll ensure the project is proactively monitored and progress reported upon throughout its lifecycle.  

 

Additionally, you’ll be responsible for the risks and issues associated with the project, maintaining the project RAID register to manage, mitigate and control them. You will also manage change throughout the project using standard change control processes, keeping stakeholders informed and ensuring all commercial aspects of the project are in place and managed throughout its lifecycle to include cost estimates, contracts and project forecasting.  

 

You’ll ensure post project/benefit reviews are carried out on project completion, ensuring lessons learned are captured and shared across the business.  

 

This role will have management responsibilities. You’ll be keen on encouraging personal accountability while providing regular guidance and performance feedback to team members. The ability to lead, manage and communicate with people is a key aspect for this role. We see staff development and progression as essential to the future success of the team; you will ensure development and training plans are in place for each individual team member.

Requirements

Educated to Degree or HND/C level in a mechanical or electrical discipline and Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (or working towards) of relevant institution such as IMechE or IET, you will have relevant experience as an MEICA Project Manager, preferably within the Water Industry.  

 

You will be able to demonstrate strong leadership and decision-making capability, the ability to lead by example and set clear direction and goals to the team. Your interpersonal and effective communication skills will engage and manage project stakeholders at all levels of the business.
