Of The Role Will Include
Hydrogeological contribution to engineering studies and ESIAs for mining and other sector projects.
Supporting senior staff in the development and reporting of hydrogeological conceptual models, risk assessments and analytical and numerical models.
Project-based travel and site work, working away from home both in the UK and internationally. The frequency and duration of this will depend on business and client need.
Performing and reporting of field work for integrated hydrogeological and geotechnical programmes, to include monitoring, supervision of borehole drilling and monitoring well installation, aquifer testing (including the use of borehole packers), installation of grouted vibrating wire piezometers, geotechnical logging and testing, core logging and other field tasks as required.
Collation, analysis, and quality management of hydrogeological, hydrological, and geotechnical data.
Project coordination, managing and participating actively in the development of budgets, schedules, and plans for projects and proposals.
Supporting the development and maintenance of client relationships, either through project-based client interaction or through supporting business development efforts of senior staff.
Working in a collaborative manner with multidisciplinary colleagues within the company as required.

MSc Hydrogeology (or equivalent), combined with a first degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or related subject.
3+ years previous experience of working as a Hydrogeologist within any environment.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
Proven technical and report writing skills.
Flexibility to respond to business and client needs.
Ability to display initiative and engage decision making skills.
Good organisational ability and time management skills.
Enthusiasm for the discipline, demonstrating a continued desire to learn and grow.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Willingness and ability to travel and work away from home (both within the UK and internationally); and
Full Driving Licence.
Competency with GIS.
Previous experience of working within a consultancy environment and/or on mining projects.
Previous experience of field work (e.g., groundwater monitoring, drill rig supervision, aquifer testing etc)
Previous experience of hydrogeological modelling or analysis packages (e.g., AQTESOLV, MODFLOW, FEFLOW, SEEP/W, SURFER or GoldSIM).
