Job Title: Head of Rail ( Design)  

Location: London  

Salary : £65,000 - £75,000  

 

My client is an engineering design consultancy and they are looking for a Head of Rail for their London and the South East operations.  

 

Essential criteria  

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering  

• Technical excellence in application of design codes or practice and standards  

• Minimum 5-years design experience as CRE within consultancy practice  

• Chartered Engineer status with ICE or IstructE  

• Experience of applying design software (TEDDS, Robot, CADS, Superstress etc)  

• Demonstrable design experience of applying Eurocodes and associated industry, regulatory and group standards across varying project types  

• Valid UK driving licence  

• Line management experience  

 

Desirable criteria  

• Current PTS card holder  

• Commercial experience of tender bidding  

• Past-experience in delivery of multi-disciplinary rail projects  

• Able to work independently on various projects simultaneously  

• Able to manage commercial aspects of projects from cradle to grave  

• Demonstrate capability of working to multi-project programmes
