They have a requirement for a EICA Engineer / Senior EICA Engineer to join their growing team on a permanent basis and to help support their increasing portfolio and workload.  

 

Job Description:  

 

Following an exciting and very successful start to AMP7 in the Water Market, the Infrastructure division is seeking a number of electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (EICA) engineers to became part of our Client's expanding team.  

 

Some of the main responsibilities for this role include:  

 

- Asset surveys and assessments, using cutting-edge technologies and techniques as appropriate.  

- Feasibility, outline and detailed electrical and ICA design work (transformers, generators, LVSB, MCC, instrumentation, PLC, SCADA, telemetry etc.) including equipment and system specifications, design schedules, drawings: SLDs, BCDs, earthing, systems architecture diagrams, user requirement specifications (URS/FDS), technical design risk assessments, P&IDs, cost and programme estimations.  

- Technical report writing at all stages of the project lifecycle.  

- Liaison with clients within the UK and worldwide.  

- Support and/or lead bids, fee proposals or offers of service; development of activity schedules/work plans.  

- Delivering projects as a part of multidisciplinary, multi-location, multi-party teams.  

- Preparing profile-raising material such as technical papers and presentations to conferences, staff and clients.  

- Support technical and ‘expert witness’ investigations and appraisals.  

- Supporting and technically developing less experienced colleagues.  

- Contributing to new innovative ideas/ making suggestions for innovation.  

- Opportunity to present your project work at company meetings or at conferences.  

- Working with and developing new automated digital design tools.

Requirements

- Degree-qualified with an Electrical or ICA bias; ideally a chartered Member of a recognised engineering institution.  

- You will be positive and enthusiastic, a confident communicator at all levels, and a team player.  

- You will have a keen interest in the water/wastewater industry and will ideally have already spent a proportion of your career in the water or a related similar industry that can be applied.  

- You will have a blend of leadership and technical expertise.  

- You will have experience of managing and mentor teams and/or individuals and/or projects, potentially split across disciplines and locations.  

- A developing external profile and reputation; a desire and willingness to raise the profile of oneself and the Company.  

- Willingness to contribute to and develop our technical knowledge networks.
