Job description

Our client is a major water consultancy who has been rapidly growing within various sectors and who is looking for multiple experienced professionals to join them on permanent basis. They are currently seeking a Drainage/Environmental and SUDS Engineer to join their team in Belfast, other locations across the UK are also available.  

 

Job Description:  

 

Some of the main responsibilities for this role include:  

- Develop concepts & designs for drainage and SuDS to different Clients  

- Project and design management of schemes, delivering projects to time and to budget  

- Maintain high levels of awareness of the implementation of changes in legislation  

- Identify business development opportunities  

- Prepare financial and technical proposals for project opportunities  

- Co-ordination with multidisciplinary teams working on the projects and site team  

- Client and stakeholder interface

Requirements

- Degree in relevant subject  

- Appropriate experience post graduation (minimum 3 years)  

 

Desirable Criteria:  

 

- Experience in drainage design including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS)  

- Knowledge of industry standard drainage networks design  

- Competence in the use of AutoCAD and Hydraulic modelling – preferably Microdrainage  

- Proven track record in coordinating and delivering technically excellent projects on time and to budget  

- First class written and oral communication skills  

- A natural curiosity for developing innovative, sustainable and cost effective solutions for our clients  

- Experience of team working on multi-disciplinary projects  

- Competence in the use of Civil3D  

- Sound commercial understanding  

- Team builder, developing the technical excellence of our team.  

- Able to develop and motivate others  

- Proven record of developing client relationships  

- Attained or working towards relevant professional qualification
