We’re recruiting for a Delivery Environmental Advisor to join our framework with the Anglian Water Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA).
What will you be doing as our new Delivery Environmental Advisor?
The role of Environmental Advisor will provide advice, guidance and coaching to all Project Teams from construction to handover and ensure compliance with the Alliance SHE-MS. This will require the completion of inspections, advisory visits, incident investigations, feedback and briefings to sites. You will be an innovative thinker supporting the alliance utilising and adapting innovation and digital technologies to improve performance and outcomes.
Responsible for the successful delivery of construction environmental management and compliance for the Strategic Pipeline, reporting into the SHEW team.
Key responsibilities:
Assist in providing advice on the practical implementation of the Alliances Environmental policies and processes and ensure compliance with relevant environmental legislation is maintained.
Assist in the development, management, implementation and monitoring of the Construction Environmental Management Plan.
Undertake site inspections, advisory visits, engagement tours to ensure site compliance with Alliance EMS
Be on site point of contact for environmental related matters for the Southern pipeline schemes (Peterborough to Colchester) sections of pipeline and associated pump stations, break tanks and crossings.
Assist with the gaining on construction environmental consents including liaising with environmental stakeholders.
Assist with the scheduling and planning of ecology and other environmental surveys.
Conduct incident investigations as part of an investigation team as required.
Assist with the delivery of environmental training and pre construction briefings.
Assist with the completion of environmental reporting requirements.
Conduct site visits and inspections according to schedules.
Acting as liaison with alliance delivery teams
Leading / supporting on incident investigation
Providing advice, guidance and coaching to all Project Teams from construction to handover
Ensure compliance with the Alliance SHE-MS
Assist with the delivery of environmental consents
Candidate Specification
We are looking for highly motivated Environmental Advisors, who have practical experience in managing construction phase impacts, on site, on large scale infrastructure schemes.
Experience of delivering on water or pipeline infrastructure schemes would be a bonus.
You will be an innovative thinker supporting the alliance utilising and adapting innovation and digital technologies to improve performance and outcomes.
Effective communicator with presentation and report writing skills.
People skills with ability to liaise with and influence staff/operatives at all levels.
Analytical skills to interpret detailed information and regulations.
Able to demonstrate high standards of health, safety, environment and wellbeing making sure these are followed and upheld across the team in line with the principles of LIFE (Living in an Injury Free Environment)
