The core purpose of the role is to optimise the margin on the project whilst protecting the business from commercial risk.
Our client is one of the UK`s leading engineering solutions providers, delivering integrated consulting, project delivery and operations and maintenance services to major blue-chip customers in targeted market sectors.
Management of a commercial team compromising the following functions:
o Quantity surveying
o Supply chain management
o Contract administration
o Cost capture and control
• Liaise with the Employers commercial team
• Ensure the necessary internal and external periodic valuations and reports are prepared and issued in line with deadlines
• Implement commercial procedures and reporting to ensure compliance with company and contract requirements
• Ensure appropriate commercial records are maintained in line with the contract requirements and oversee any contractual issues.
Must have UK water contracting experience
Proven strong commercial acumen
Professionally qualified and accredited QS / Commercial Manager
Degree level education or equivalent with training and qualifications in a related discipline
Experience of managing a medium size team
Experience of working in a construction/rail environment within a contractors organisation
NEC Contract Experience Essential
