Job description

Our Client is a leading property and infrastructure consultancy operating in the environment, planning and sustainability sectors. They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Town Planner (Infrastructure) to join their team in London.

My client is currently seeking an enthusiastic and capable individual to join their Infrastructure Team which consists of chartered town planners, EIA consultants and their communities and engagement specialists.

As an experienced town planner, you know that no two days are the same, and the same can be said for their projects. My client works on a range of commissions from gathering background evidence to support a Local Plan or SPD, to setting planning and environmental strategies for high profile, cross boundary planning applications and acting as planning lead for large scale regeneration schemes where there are complex multi-disciplined issues to overcome. In your role, you would principally work on TCPA projects but experience also of DCO/ TWAO schemes would be an advantage. You will be responsible for managing projects with guidance from a senior member of the team; liaising with clients, local authorities, consultants and key stakeholders to proactively move projects forwards; developing strong professional networking relationships with those in the property and planning industry to identify opportunities for business development; work collaboratively in teams to support bids and tenders; and writing and submitting planning applications.

• Have a RTPI accredited degree.

• Be MRTPI qualified

• Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

• Be critical thinkers with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Be organised, flexible, proactive and professional

• Able to work to deadlines and ensure others do the same;

• Able to deal with and influence stakeholders;

• Able to work independently and holding self to account;

• Able to multitask and have a flexible approach to workload.
