Mechanical Estimator

Our client is a Tier 1 Main contractor looking to hire for large-scale water projects set to continue for several years, the right candidate will have strong Mechanical Estimating experience within the Water sector. This is a remote role with only occasional travel to one of our client's offices in either Manchester or Maidenhead.  

Duties:  

- Reporting into the Natural Resources Managing Estimator  

- Work on both project and tender estimating  

- Leading in the delivery of estimates on a variety of interesting and challenging opportunities across busy water sector.  

- Working closely within either a bid or project team and be responsible for the preparation of the analytical estimates  

- Preparation of all elements of major project estimates including preliminaries (On-cost) pricing  

- Presentation of the estimate at bid team meetings and final settlement of bid  

- Demonstrated experience working as an Estimator for a major civils/M&E contractor  

- Experienced pricing medium to large value projects  

- Water treatment and Process engineering experience essential  

- Must be customer focused by striving for excellence through understanding, anticipating, and meeting their needs
