Job description

Our client specialises in providing innovative solutions in the water sector, making this role an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of industry advancements. This is a Freelance role for an experienced Project Engineer involving travelling to sites across the UK, the right candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all projects are executed within agreed cost, scope, and program parameters.  

 

 

Key Competencies:  

 

Minimum of five years' experience in a design and build project delivery role within the water industry.  

NEC 3 knowledge and experience.  

HNC minimum in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.  

CSCS and SMSTS certifications.  

Good communication skills.  

Working knowledge of AutoCAD advantageous.  

 

 

Responsibilities:  

 

Manage multiple projects and oversee works awarded to suppliers/subcontractors.  

Day to Day site management of onsite teams  

Provide technical expertise on the repair, refurbishment, or replacement of equipment & plant.  

Ensure Deadlines are met by suppliers, on site contractors and deliverables are managed within agreed budgets  

Attend start-up, site visit, and design meetings.  

Effectively manage scope change notices in line with contract requirements.  

Produce information for Project-level KPI's.  

Lead and manage project teams (both direct and subcontract), taking accountability for project delivery.  

Undertake any other duties appropriate to this post.
