Senior Planner

Our client is a globally recognised consultancy working across multiple sectors and industries, this role is a great opportunity for a motivated and dynamic individual looking to work on some of the biggest projects in the UK.  

Some of the main duties for this role include:  

• Drive Project Controls Policy  

• Attend client meetings  

• Supervise and mentor junior members of the team  

• Ensure that all issues regarding programming are reported  

• Be responsible for programming and project controls on the projects  

• Must build relationships with clients  

• Strong understanding of Transport technology and market  

• Deliver reports to Senior Managers in order to direct projects efficiently  

• Be familiar with commercial aspects of projects

• Degree qualification  

• Consultancy or client side background  

• Strong Primavera 6 knowledge and experience  

• Must have strong understanding of transport technologies, including Track (P-Way), structures, signalling, tunnels, earthworks, bridge engineering, telecoms, access platforms, electrification and plant.  

• Experience of numerous forms of contract, including NEC  

• Experience managing junior members of team is desirable, allocating tasks, monitoring and offering productive feedback  

• Scheduling risk and cost analysis and claims  

• Excellent communication skills essential  

• Hands on approach to work  

• Strong attention to detail
