Job description

This contract with our Rail client is for a Scheme Project Manager / Project Controller for 4 months located in Puddle Dock, London & Basingstoke - 4 days per week required in the office (2 days per week in each location). The pay rate to candidate is up to £ (Umbrella) / £315.09 (PAYE) per day.  

 

This role is an exciting opportunity to join the Governance & Assurance Team within the Wessex Infrastructure Change Team. The role will work with other Project Managers within the team to ensure that the Workstreams are delivered to Time, Cost and Quality.  

 

The role is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the Project Control Processes including but not excluded to: Change Control, Document Management and Risk Management. Ideally someone will have strong Project Controls background.  

 

- Support the management and delivery of project plans, ensuring all necessary preparation, tasks and dependencies are included.  

- Supporting the Project Manager and wider team with the delivery of projects to time, cost and quality.  

- Liaising with stakeholders (internal and external).  

- Deliver regular progress reports on activities, including relevant risks and issues to the Project Manager, including the provision of evidence to support the programme deliverables.  

- Collate, format and distribute data to support project requirements, cascading to internal and external parties where appropriate.

Requirements

- Strong Project Controls background  

- PMO background  

- Experience around change control processes  

- Risk management experience  

- Project plans experience  

- Stakeholder engagement experience  

- Microsoft Office including Word & PowerPoint experience  

 

Desirable:  

- Rail Experience  

- MS Projects
