Location: Hampshire – Suited to those based around Andover, Basingstoke, Crawley, Southampton, Portsmouth and Guildford
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 plus travel allowance, private medical health care and Company Pension
My client is working in partnership with Network Rail and, alongside other major contractors providing a whole manner of off-track services, including vegetation management, on-track plant hire, ecological support, civil engineering and fencing. My client is known for maintaining a focus on quality, safety and efficiency.
- 8 years minimum in a Procurement/Senior Buyer Role
- Knowledge of Rail/Civils industries
- Professional Qualification in Procurement or working towards (MCIPS)

As a Procurement Manager, you will prepare and manage all contracts and agreements with suppliers and sub-contractors, utilising your negotiation skills to achieve good value. You’ll be responsible for the supplier onboarding process and managing relationships with approved suppliers. You will also be responsible for reviewing the current Procurement provision, advising and implementing improvements informed by your experience of best practice.
You will be adept at analysing supply markets and identifying trends in order to ensure the efficient provision of goods, services and materials across the business. You will be a proactive communicator and keep key stakeholders informed of contract performance, value, compliance and safety through effective reporting and forecasting. Your proven ability to build excellent working relationships is therefore essential.
