Commercial Manager

This contract with our Rail client is for a Commercial Manager (Quantity Surveyor) for 6 months in Glasgow – 2-3 days onsite.  

Responsibilities:  

- Work within a Commercial team to deliver programme objectives.  

- Develop successful working relationships with external Suppliers.  

- Contribute to procurement and contract strategies.  

- Compile and issue tenders. Administer contract amendments.  

- Provide Commercial advice and guidance to the wider business.  

- Ensure all procurement activities are within budget and undertaken in line with Government regulations and best practice.  

- Support colleagues to achieve targets in relevant timescales.

Key Essential Skills:  

- Knowledge of buildings and civils  

- Quantity surveyor experience  

- Ability to influence outcomes  

- Stakeholder management  

- Project delivery experience  

Desirable:  

- Oracle  

- Citadel Asset management system  

- Civil engineering background  

MUST HAVE: Quantity Surveyor Qualification
