Any candidates with IMPACT EVALUATION experience would be preferred.
Security Clearance: BPSS
CV Deadline: 28th Sept @ 4pm
Interview Process: Telephone/Video
We require respondents to be skilled in qualitative and quantitative methodologies. They should have a knowledge of what process and impact evaluations are, how to go about designing and conducting these and an awareness of associated risks and challenges. This will be crucial in assisting us with developing an evaluation strategy which should always be conducted with longer term impact evaluation in mind. They should also have experience in, or a sound knowledge of, piloting initiatives and a sound understanding as to the best methods for evaluating their effectiveness. This will help greatly in testing out policy initiatives in one or two areas to help us understand what works, for example, regarding offender management for particular cohorts of offenders. Respondents should be familiar with conducting interviews/focus groups along with the analysis and write-up of findings. To achieve a representative sample, the findings from which can be applied nationally, we are often required to conduct many interviews and focus groups for which we require this resource. An ability to present ‘promising’ findings or’ best available evidence’ which are not necessarily significant or representative where time/resource constraints don’t allow ‘gold standard’ evaluation will also be helpful. It is also useful for them to have experience in communicating technical information to a non-technical audience. Thus, they would provide resource that would be able to see the evaluation process through to the end.
