About the role:  

• Developing education materials  

• Not doing training delivery at present – may change  

• Some creativity  

• Take something boring and turn it into learning  

• Talking to SMEs re subjects not familiar with and producing learning in layman’s terms to cover this information gained.  

• Liaising with Stakeholders  

• Writing high level learning on subjects  

• Stakeholders include pathologists, supplier companies…  

• Develop software  

• Develop standard to be used in software


• Location: Mainly remote – travel to office as required – Leeds/London. Currently meet up approx. once/month.





• Proven knowledge of adult learning theories, instructional design and supporting technologies including Learning Management Systems.  

• Practical knowledge of the differences between, and potential benefits of a variety of learning delivery channels.  

• Proven knowledge of the principles and approaches underpinning effective:  

- Training and development methodologies and solutions  

- Use of technology to deliver learning.  

• Proven knowledge of digital learning techniques.  

• Proven knowledge of best practice in learning and development.  

• Knowledge of identifying and demonstrating business and performance benefits from learning solutions.

• Understand the benefits of different assessment techniques.  

• Experience of developing and delivering different assessment techniques that underpin effective training and development methodologies and solutions and use of technology to deliver learning.

• Experience of working at a senior level with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to advise on training matters, including identifying gaps and barriers in training, development, and education.  

• Experience of working with, and managing, internal and external stakeholders to successfully develop and deliver training solutions, products, and services to achieve outcomes.  



• Ability to manage complex / difficult situations and still achieve the set objectives in a clear concise manner.  

• Experience of delivering constructive feedback to internal and external stakeholders where the message may be difficult to receive (e.g. through performance management and providing additional support to learners).

• Experience of collating stakeholder feedback and reporting back key points, lessons learned and develop action plans to address key points.

• Recognised project management qualification at foundation level e.g. PRINCE2, Agile or equivalent experience.
