Our Nuclear client is currently looking for an Engagement Officer/Administrator for a long term, Cumbria based contract. The role will be fully on site in Whitehaven.  


The role will be focusing on support the delivery of defined communications & engagement programme by carrying out communications support role for business area.  



•Producing communications content celebrating people, plant & processes which clearly identifies the benefit and added value aligning to E&Ms key Communication themes.  

•Maintaining exposure across the business to develop understanding of progress being made against key priorities  

•Maintaining comms & engagement schedule, aligning to both business and site deliverables  

•Providing coaching and mentoring to supervisors across communications methods.  

•Supporting communities within the business and providing a service to rapidly disseminate messages throughout the organisation.  

•Supporting the delivery of employee engagement activities and events  

•Ensuring that all content meets the corporate guidelines, aligns to a predefined communication theme, has a purpose and consistent “look & feel”  

•Co-ordinating and influencing a vast range of stakeholders  

•Ensure that the business Sharepoint pages are fit for purpose & updated appropriately.  

•Produce Comms toolkits to ensure that our standard comms approaches can be adopted by the organisation.  

•Provide the business with consistent high quality visual management / graphics production or reformatting.  

•Carry out relevant pulse checks, surveys and promote feedback to understand service provided to allow continuous improvements.  


Essential Skills:  

•Significant experience in communications, including demonstrable experience of internal engagement techniques.  

•Confidence and competence to advise and influence at a senior leadership level.  

•Excellent presentational, writing and editing skills  

-ability to clarify and simplify complex issues and technical subject matter  

-versatility in tone and technique to suit different audiences  

•Willingness to challenge any communications making a case for clear, effective and strategic communications.  

•Strong planning, scheduling and prioritising capabilities  

•Strong event management capability and experience  

•Ability to work to tight timescales  


Desirable Skills:  

•Trained in Adobe Design  

•Relevant professional accreditation/qualification or equivalent experience
