United Utilities, the water company that provides water and sewage services to the population of 7 million people in North West England, is looking for contractors for a £110m framework in the North-west. The engineering works are scheduled to begin in Spetember 2014 and the expected length of the contract is 69 months, however, there is an opportunity for an extension for a further 60 months.
This framework encompasses a variety of water services such as meter installation, connection provision and mains laying for the new built environment in the North-west of England. Additionally, engineering works will have to cover pressure testing, disinfection, reinforcements, diversion work, disconnections, abandonments and removals. For wasterwater services, inspections investigations, sewer connections, diversion and requisitions are included.
The deadline for the prequalification questionnaires is 10am on 20 November and the top three firms will be offered places on the framework.
