Northumbrian Water seeks three firms for £320m AMP6 deal

Northumbrian Water is currently advertising a new design and construction framework worth £320m which covers the AMP6 spending period. It is now looking for three contractors to deliver water and wastewater treatment works over the next ten years.

The work predominantly involves capital maintenance works on water and wastewater treatment assets, including treatment facilities, pumping stations, boreholes, checmical, instrumentation and control systems, and service reservoirs.

Due to get underway in October 2015, the works will be divided into two Lots as follows:

Lot 1: North east England (worth £160m - £240m)

Lot 2: Essex and Suffolk (worth £50m - £80m)

The framework is for an initial five years with the option to extend for a further five.

Expressions of interest are to be received by 21 November. More information can be found here.
