Habtoor project

The project includes the construction of a five-level podium, one 36-storey tower and one 25-storey tower within a total GFA of 350,000 square metres. The Al Habtoor Palace, located on Shaikh Zayed Road, is scheduled for handover in 2017 and will include the first St Regis hotel in Dubai, a W Hotel and a new Westin, adding 1,675 rooms with a value of Dh4.8 billion or $1.33 billion. There will also be an iconic Las Vegas-style ‘aqua’ theatre, a French provincial-inspired garden, food and beverage venues, etc.

The Habtoor Leighton Group (HLG) has been awarded a US$515 million contract for the construction of Habtoor Palace Hotels in Dubai. HLG Managing Director Laurie Voyer said he was delighted to secure this contract as it reinforces their strong working relashionship with Al Habtoor Group . HLG has worked on many projects for Al Habtoor Group including the Habtoor Grand Beach Resort & Spa and Metropolitan Palace Hotel .

Mohammad Al Habtoor, vice chairman & CEO of Al Habtoor Group says the investment of his company in the hospitality sector has reached Dh12 Billion.

The company managing the palace, Starwood, operates 15 properties in Dubai, its 2nd largest concentration of hotels in a single city outside New York. Starwood is already working with Al Habtoor Group since it operates the historic Le Méridien Budapest that was acquired by Al Habtoor Group last year.

The design for development has started in January 2012 and the construction is projected to end by 2017.
