In order to help the deployment of needed infrastructure, a charging Infrastructure Investment Fund has been set up. It is a major funding boost for London’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
Phillip Hammond, chancellor of the Exchequer, is due to announce a £400 million Charging Infrastructure Investment Fund to improve access to finance for businesses deliver charge points across the country.
A total of 25 boroughs, each receiving up to £300,000, will install up to 1,500 standard-speed on-street charging points in residential areas, bringing Mayor of London Sadiq Khan's long-term vision for zero-carbon transport in the Capital another step closer.
