The scheme will transform the two-acre riverside area in the Nine Elms regeneration area between Vauxhall and Battersea generating many engineering job opportunities in the next few years.
According to the plans, a five-star Wanda hotel with 160 rooms and a skybridge connecting to two main towers of 45 and 60 floors will be built.
According to one construction source: “This is a big one to win and all the major players are now gearing-up to have a crack at it".
“I’m sure you’ll see big names like Laing O’Rourke, Carillion, Brookfield, Lend Lease and Sir Robert McAlpine on the lists.”
