Our Government client is currently recruiting a User Researcher on a 6 months contract paying £605 P/D inside IR35.

Minimum Requirement:
1. Evidence of extensive experience of conducting user research using a range of research methods, and clearly demonstrates an understanding of when different methods are appropriate.
2. Can clearly demonstrate that they can plan user research for services with challenging user needs and/or complex user journeys.
3. Extensive experience of working in agile teams to develop and advocate appropriate research strategies
4. Able to work at pace: plan, execute, analyse and feedback research findings to their team, using a variety of different methods and be comfortable challenging product managers and stakeholders when defending user needs.
Summary of the Role and Key Responsibilities:
4 Senior User Researchers are required within Identity and Trust Services. ID&T are designing and developing solutions to allow people to verify their identity, and authenticate themselves, safely and securely online, when they interact with DWP. The roles will include: usability testing of in-flight services; developing and testing the range of knowledge based verification questions that are being developed; carrying out Discovery research on customer credentials; and working on what’s next on the product roadmap. Main responsibilities include:
1. Working with agile teams to develop and advocate appropriate research strategies within their project area, with the goal of understanding user needs for services, and continually improving services.
2. Weighing evidence from various sources and involve wider teams to increase consensus and challenge assumptions.
3. Developing recommendations based on a variety of research outcomes, evaluating those outcomes to inform the product or service decision.
4. Being accountable for the end-to-end delivery of research, developing and delivering research that considers the time & budget vs outcomes perspective.
5. Incorporating into recommendations and insights, evidence that focuses on user behaviour and experiences of departmental services.
Priority Technical Skills Required:
