DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for planning IT audits and understanding: IT objectives, information structure, policies, processes and internal controls. Identifying risk areas, preparing audit scope and programs. Assessing department wide compliance with IT controls by: executing audit program steps, testing infrastructure technologies, development projects, data centre operations, security, and IT related work processes. Assessing risks and internal operating controls by identifying areas of non-compliance, operational weaknesses, inefficiencies and issues. Document audit tests and communicate findings across the organisation.

Key tasks:

The Technical Auditor role is vital in achieving the above objective.

-Establishing and implementing the technical controls required, and highlighting any risks that could impact on successful exit and transition, or future delivery.

- Carrying out in-depth reviews, inspections and audits of all supplier furnished material, including information and assets, in compliance with the specifications and technical descriptions as prescribed in the individual contracts. Co-ordinating and advising on the scope of the inspections and audits.

- Carrying out reviews of processes and identifying areas that the business should consider for additional investment, and areas requiring an audit focus.

- Producing reports and recommendations to Deployed Platform Services based on the findings of the inspections and audits undertaken.

- Monitoring the status of corrective action post any inspection, review or audit.

Candidate must have:

-Communication skills to communicate information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to translate technical jargon into business related decisions.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Experience:

• A good understanding from a technical perspective of military deployed CIS and associated CIS infrastructure.

• Experience in IT Service Management, in particular Service Transition and Service Operations.

• Experience in negotiating and influencing at all levels with both internal and external stakeholders.

-Have an in-depth understanding of IT services, service architecture, service readiness and the associated deliverables/outcomes required.

- Communication skills to communicate information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to translate technical jargon into business related decisions.
