The Senior Product Manager will support and manage one or more of the products and services being delivered by NHS Test and Trace.

You will be responsible for product roadmaps, user stories and tactical product decisions. As an experienced practitioner, you'll also identify and bring inspiration and best practices from the product management community to shape and improve how we work. You’ll be an advocate for user-centred design within an agile framework, and be able to play back product design choices to your stakeholders.

• Identify and build strong relationships with stakeholders across large-scale and high-profile projects

• Develop an expert understanding of the users’ needs and champion these in the delivery of your product

• Drive the definition and prioritisation for solutions and features across the end-to-end journey or journey step

• Maintain and prioritise a product backlog, making sure we have good user stories and are making decisions based on evidence and user needs

• Set measurable business goals for your product and report against these to demonstrate against stated benefits

• Prioritising and refining high-level requirements of single features and solutions in the end-to-end journey for cohesive and timely end-to-end planning, design and delivery

We’re interested in people with skills in:

• Managing complex projects in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment

• Meeting the needs of users across a variety of products, understanding individual challenges and wider context

• Using analytics, user feedback and user research to evaluate and improve products and services

• Building relationships with stakeholders to understand their goals and working with them to improve products and services

• Managing multiple projects and adapting to changing priorities and deadlines

• Working on the development and implementation of the product roadmap

You should be

• Naturally curious and able to champion your own learning and development

• An advocate for user-centred design, accessibility and equity of user experience

• Respectful and tactful in your approach to stakeholders who aren’t as familiar with a user-centred approach

• Proactive and will take the initiative rather than to see a problem and ignore it

• Keen to share your knowledge and experience
