Minimum Requirement:
• Experience in presenting complex information to varied audiences
• Ability to interface with technical and business communities at strategic and detail level
• Excellent analytical skills in a technical or systems related environment
• Proven ability using MS Power BI and SQL to query and manipulate data
• Experience in data focussed project work – ideally development of modern BI reporting solutions using Microsoft Azure and Power BI technologies
Responsibilities:
Undertake investigative work to determine business opportunities, and specify effective business processes; Specify their implementation through improvements in information systems, data management, practices, organisation and equipment; Conduct investigations for strategy studies, requirements specifications and feasibility studies; Maintain technical awareness at a level where alternatives can be analysed, modelled and classified according to technical feasibility and non-functional characteristics; Assess and advise on the practicability of alternatives, marrying up technical limitations with operational realities; Take responsibility as needed for the detailed specification and modelling of recommended solutions; Apply available standards, methods and tools in an intelligent and effective way and produce a consistently high standard of documentation; Define, plan and justify (in business terms) projects to develop/implement automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes; Assist clients/users in defining acceptance criteria for testing of automated systems; Produce business models in support of business strategy; Cross-check various model elements for inconsistencies and incompleteness eg finite state models against use case models, class diagrams against business rules, case post conditions against class diagrams; Elicit and record business rules and confirm them with business experts; Contribute to evaluating the factors which must be addressed in change programmes including cultural, organisational and business constraints affecting options for change; Assess the risks, costs and potential benefits of alternative business process designs.
