Our blue chip contractor is currently looking for a Project Manager for a 158 days (5 and a bit months) remote contract at £445pd PAYE.
We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager within our Core IT team. Core IT PMO delivers the Digital Core IT solutions that support corporate departments, contracts and clients.
Looking for someone with end to end project delivery experience, with demonstrable experience of managing high profile projects and comfortable managing senior stakeholders to Senior/ Director level. Experience of working in a changing and often ambiguous environment would be desirable. Would best suit someone with experience of technical delivery but whom is very business delivery focused ('Business PM' skills) too. Experience of Azure Cloud and delivery of Apps and products into this environment would be beneficial though not essential for the right candidate.

About the role:
Working within the Core IT Project Management Office (PMO), you will be responsible for coordinating and managing resource plans against assigned project demands. You will play a key role in managing resources to deliver projects within the portfolio of Core IT projects to high standards of predictability, performance and service. Core IT project teams apply ITIL and Agile methods and Oracle, Microsoft or 3rd party platforms to rapidly deliver value. You will become familiar with the skillsets of the teams within Core IT to come up with creative resource options, including coordinating with key 3rd party suppliers.
You will manage assigned projects to deliver outcomes and value while meeting cost, time and quality demands
You will manage client expectations and drive communication & collaboration between the client and delivery teams
You will follow the standards set for projects by Core IT PMO such as Data Impact Assessment and Change Release practices
You will contribute to the Core IT PMO team to support continuous improvements of methods, tools and techniques.
Using strong inter-personal skills, you will build relationships with all the Core IT team - both at Maidenhead and remotely – to understand individuals’ skillsets, strengths and aspirations to apply to a rounded view of best fit for project roles
Where working with specific clients, you will work with department managers, to support them to plan for future skills and capacity needs for their teams, building forward training and development plans
You will apply your experience and Costain Way tools to highlight and manage risks associated with resourcing
