Our government client is currently looking for a Head of Supply Chain Management for a 6 months contract at £700pd inside IR35.

Role: Head of Supply Chain Management

Contract Length: 6 months

Location: Currently remote, will need to eventually attend the Hub 2 days a week – Leeds/Sheffield/Manchester/Blackpool/London

Pay Rate to Candidate: £700/day UMB

Minimum Requirement As a Head of Supply Chain Manager your main responsibilities would be:

• To lead the set-up supply chain management framework to ensure Estates’ supply chain operation aligns and supports wider strategic objectives and values during this transition phase. This role will support the onboarding of the new Integrator, Estates Programme Management Supplier and other ancillary suppliers (e.g. Energy Bureau, software providers, etc.) during the transition phase until the new Integrator is live in April 2022.

• The design, develop and implementation of the Estates’ supply chain management and performance measurement framework, including the end to end approach of how performance and relationship management will be monitored through measurable metrics and incorporating required values and behaviours for the supply chain

• To Implement processes, procedures and tools which add value to Estates by reducing costs, mitigating risk and improving service through effective management of suppliers, to support creation of supply chain relationships which are aligned to values of quality, safety and sustainability

You’ll have relevant experience in:

• Managing major supply chain and large-scale operations

• Performance management best practice and awareness of innovations and changes within the industry

• Articulating data and forecasts to stakeholders with commercial acumen

• Supplier and Customer Relationship Management tools and techniques and their application

• Certified membership of a recognised supply chain management professional body, e.g. ASCM, IOSCM, MCIPS

Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Strong experience in managing major supply chain and large scale operations

• Expertise in performance management best practice and awareness of innovations and changes within the industry

• Demonstrable knowledge of Supplier and Customer Relationship Management tools and techniques and their application

• Knowledge and implementation of risk management strategies and processes

• Demonstrable experience of excellent senior client relationships and ability to build effective relationships

• Proven ability in articulating data and forecasts to stakeholders with commercial acumen

• Excellent negotiation skills

• Ability to see wider strategic goals and align contractual agreements and actions to support department and organisational strategy

• Significant experience of solving problems by delivering solutions in an administrative; customer service; supplier related environment

Desirable:

• Experience of NEC contract management tools such as CEMAR, Fastdraft or SyproCM.
