Our Government client is currently for a Enterprise Architect, on a 6 month contract basis paying £800 P/D inside IR35 remote.

Role: Enterprise Architect

Contract Length: 6 months

Location: remote

IR35: Inside

Pay Rate to Candidate: £800 Umbrella

Security Clearance: BPSS

Perform the Enterprise Architect role for complex IT programmes and projects with responsibility to:

Lead the development of key technology initiatives to realise emerging policy objectives, working with delivery teams to optimise and align to architecture vision.

To be a practical design authority capable of making decisions which take account of immediate priorities and longer term objectives

Deliver architectural initiatives that improve efficiency, resilience/robustness and performance in line with enterprise strategy.

A senior architect with multiple years of experience working across large, complex organisations to define the Enterprise Architecture

Experience of work in the Public Sector, aligning to GDS standards, adopting NCSC guidance and complying with regulations e.g. GDP

Proven experience of decision-making in a complex environment while delivering results at pace, understanding business drivers, risk management, feasibility and value

Experience with integration patterns, and designing messaging and event based architectures at large scale

Will have a technology background including software development ensuring that key architecture decisions are made on the basis of practical delivery

A broad knowledge of modern architecture technologies including cloud, big data, API, digital and mobile

Ability to simplify and communicate complex issues, including; architectural decisions, plans, goals and strategies

Will have working in a complex data processing environment with an understanding of integrating operational and analytical components to optimise business outcomes

Excellent communication and influencing skills – verbal and written – with ability to liaise at all levels, including Board level

Ability to articulate vision, engage stakeholders, and provide technical leadership to deliver the vision.

Ability to drive change and overcome obstacles and resistance

Ability to work in an ambiguous environment, clarifying strategies and plans, giving a sense of direction and purpose for self and team

Decision-making by seeking constructive outcomes in discussions

Setting direction and taking ownership for deliverables
