Our public sector client is currently looking for a Digital Developer for a 4 months contract at £550 inside IR35.

Contract Length: 4 months

Location: We’re on a hybrid working model as an organisation – however the team’s approach to this is very flexible and the aspiration to attend an office approximately once a month is quite light. We have offices in London, Leeds and Exeter and generally rotate attendance between them with a majority focus on London – we’d be happy for the successful candidate to base themselves at any of the three official locations depending on what is most convenient for their home.

Pay Rate to Candidate: £550 UMBRELLA

Minimum Requirement:

Strong C# and .NET (core) development skills

Strong MS SQL skills

Experience developing Apis for Azure cloud deployment

Experience with Microsoft Azure Dev ops for deploying services

Experience of Agile team working practices

Able to work in multidisciplinary team alongside QA / data / devops specialists

Security Clearance: BPSS

We are looking for a Developer to work with us on our products. You will be part of:

• Making improvements to the user experience

• Working to develop and implement new product features

• Improving interoperability with downstream services

• Maintaining close relations with the various teams and products that provide the 111 service

Senior Developer – Band 7

Knowledge

Essential

• Significant knowledge in software development, architecture and design with experience of appropriate and representative languages, frameworks, platforms and tools; including knowledge of software delivery methodologies, information processing & standards, security, infrastructure and information governance.

• Knowledge of delivering and operating end-to-end from writing code to operating / maintaining, and continuous improvement.

• Requisite knowledge of the legacy software.

Essential

Leadership

Proven experience of technically leading a software development team, solving complex enterprise problems, developing such capabilities within teams and through the coordination of external suppliers.

Innovation

Ability to experiment with new technologies to assess their fit to specific business problems and implements their adoption within a specific solution.

Experience in identifying opportunities to leverage or adapt existing technologies to provide the best customer outcomes. Communicating best practice within own and neighbouring teams. Demonstrable understanding of specific application components of software development and proven ability to proactively spot potential issues and take actions to resolve.

Adaptability

Experience and ability to adopt and adapt appropriate system design methods, tools and techniques to ensure they are applied effectively for successful deliveries.

Experience in providing alternative solution approaches to deliver comparable capabilities with associated expressions of cost, risk, timescales to support evidence-based decisions. Proven experience in facilitating a learning culture in a collaborative team setting which values patterns and practices over specific technology implementations. Experience in driving adoption and acquisition of new skills in teams when working with new technologies.

Technical

Experience of engineering a large or complex system requiring the introduction of new or optimised exploitation of existing technologies. Identifies and articulates best use patterns for working with appropriately selected technologies to meet business problems.

Experience in software architecture, design and development with an understanding of a range of platforms, languages, methodologies, patterns and implementations.

Experience in the "devops" ownership of a system in its totality; designing the application architecture and its supporting infrastructure, taking operational responsibility for its entire lifetime, able to take a new product from inception to deprecation.
