This contract with our Central Government Client is 6 months long with a likelihood of extension. The role is located in London / Milton Keynes / Glasgow / the role could also be remote but with office work as required.  


Job Description:  


This role sits within the Business Change team providing a help and support interface between the business and Programme for queries and help.  

The Comms and Engagement Assistant will be the first line in responding quickly to the business via the various channels, helping to find the answers for the business and putting together a comprehensive Knowledge sheet to help users find their answers quickly. The programme is heading towards its second phase of rollout in November to a different userbase, with a likely very differing set of needs, so this role would again become a pivotal front line support in helping them.  


Other tasks include:  


• Creating programme newsletter for the business  

• Managing an promoting the use of Yammer as the primary communication tool between the business and programme for queries  

• Responding to user queries, directing them to the appropriate information;  

• Collating/updating logs to enable analysis of the issues and inform decisions on the optimal way to resolve them;  

• Assisting in the preparation of FAQs and info sheets and other related content though to its publication  

• Updating Intranet pages working with the Central Comms Team;  

• Organising Communications and Engagement events  

• Providing comms related performance reporting to the Business Change Lead / programme  

• Input in to the Communications and Engagement plan


• Prior experience of managing communications in a project / programme environment  

• Customer Service focused; able to understand the impact on the business  

• Able to work independently and proactively to find answers  

• Confident communicator  

• Ability to understand stakeholders  




• Prior experience in a Government department  

• Prior experience using Yammer/MS Teams
