Our public sector client are currently looking for a Junior Communications Officer to join their team.  

 

Contract Length: 6 months  

 

Location: Remote working – Ability to travel into Leeds once in a while  

 

IR35: In scope  

Pay Rate to Candidate: £215 Umbrella £158.83 PAYE  

 

Minimum Requirement:  

ability, organisation and ability to learn quickly should be the new tack—although an experienced campaigner is still someone we would be interested in.  

 

The role remains the same:  

What outputs or specific deliverables are required?  

• produce bulletins for clinicians and IT professionals.  

• write and edit blogs about programmes  

• support the Content and Creative team’s work on features, campaigns, advertising copywriting and major corporate publications (this does not need to be a major aspect of the candidates experience; we can teach this)  

• contribute to and maintain content team processes and play an active part in the administration of the team (this is really critical, beside good written skills and a willingness to learn content design)  

Skills:  

• ability to write in clear and engaging English and to learn how to create user-centred content  

• ability to research and writeabout complex topics in an accurate, accessible and compelling way. The candidate may be able to show this ability through experience in content design, journalism, or communications/marketing content roles – but it could also have been developed in an educational or other setting  

• ability to use the content management systems that we use to deliver bulletins and web content; use collaboration tools (such as Microsoft Teams and Planner); use and audience insight tools (such as Google Analytics) effectively. This is a major part of the role
