Our central government client External Communications Director to join their team on a new contract.
Contract Length: 6 months
Location: Remote
Pay Rate to Candidate: DOE

The role:
• Devising and executing the comprehensive external communications plan that influences and improves public perception and behaviours
• Influencing and shaping what external communications go into the public domain through strong personal impact
• A trusted advisor who can be called upon and relied on by senior officials and ministers of state
• Executing effectively through a number of comms channels including Other Government Departments, Local Councils and senior internal and external stakeholders
Criteria:
• Experience of working in Government, with preference to Whitehall
• Engaging stakeholders and how to work and influence within the civil service through the ministry structure and special advisors
• Understanding of UK local council structure and how to successfully leverage central and local communications
• Designing and delivering communication and marketing campaigns against robust “Return on Investment” criteria
• Extensive experience of external Public Communications, reputation management and crisis response
• Public affairs and lobbying
