Job description

This contract with our central government client is for a Supplier Performance Manager for 6 months with up to 6 months extension. This is a remote work with travel expected to and from Site / Suppliers. As and when required (approx. 1 – 2 days a week).  

 

The main duties and responsibilities of the Supplier Performance Manager Would be to:  

• The candidate will be expected to investigate Providers reported performance. This will involve scrutiny of performance against KPI’s, challenging incorrect records submitted, liaising with providers on discrepancies identified, producing an audit trail of actions taken and results; presenting discoveries, conclusions and outcomes in a written account.  

• Accessing Provider IT systems; to review performance by interrogating their data and identifying any issues for reporting.

Requirements

• Ability to deal with people and situations that are difficult or challenging.  

• Tenacity in seeking the facts and following up on required actions.  

• Ability to identify non-compliance.  

• To have direct involvement and intervention (active participation rather than theory).  

• Investigative attitude when interrogating Provider data.  

• Understanding of public sector commercial contracts.  

• Understanding of end-to-end procurement and supplier chain services and Key Performance Indicators.  

• Ability to analyse numerous data sources and systems to assess against existing contractual arrangements.  

• Ability to undertake formal contractual conversations with Providers in relation to delivery of services.  

• Ability to navigate formal contractual escalation procedures for identified deficiencies.
