We have two exciting opportunities to join the team. These are rewarding roles that require flexibility and versatility, to help deliver excellence and lead others.

1. Head of Impact Evaluation

You will lead a team of social researchers focusing on understanding the effectiveness of different elements of NHS Test and Trace and of the programme as a whole. The role will involve leading studies and evaluations to generate evidence, advising colleagues across the programme on their evaluation approaches and where relevant commissioning external providers.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone with significant experience in undertaking impact evaluations, in particular someone skilled in using quasi-experimental techniques such regression analysis, propensity score matching, and difference-in-differences approaches. It will also be important for the successful candidate to understand how to apply those skills in a fast moving policy-driven Department and to be able to work collaboratively with users and our partner organisations.

Requirements

Essential Criteria

-Experience of undertaking impact evaluation, particularly using quasi-experimental techniques, OR experience undertaking process evaluation, particularly using qualitative methods and systematic approaches to analysis such as Framework -Experience of working within a policy led environment.

-Experience of working at pace to deadlines across multiple projects.

-Evidence of working effectively within a team.

-Evidence of leading a high performing team, with experience of performance management, planning, managing and reviewing activities to drive improvements.

-Experience of working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

-Evidence of being flexible and adaptable to change, remaining calm under pressure and demonstrating resilience.

-Evidence of effective verbal and written communication skills.

-The ability to communicate analytical findings in a simple way to a variety of stakeholders and customers.
