SEM Technician

This contract with our central government client is for a SEM Technician for 240 days over 12 months. The role is located in Porton Down and requires you to be onsite for 5 days per week.  

Job Description:  

Daily Duties:  

• Undertake a variety of experiments and analyses to generate innovative solutions to the analysis of microelectronics.  

• Research into specialist areas of microelectronics that are of particular relevance to the business, for example design of structures and use of novel materials.  

• Communicate microelectronics analysis to non-technical audiences.  

• Build effective relationships across the CTS division and the business as well as with stakeholders and suppliers.  

• Partner with project teams to develop innovative solutions  

• An understanding of electronics engineering and systems engineering techniques.  

• Skilled in high precision mechanical engineering, with experience of using fine motor skills to handle, machine and disassemble small components.  

• Comfortable with the use of hand tools.  

• Able to follow processes and guidelines, with excellent attention to detail.  

• The ability to analyse complex problems to break them down based on solutions from a range of domains.  

• Able to plan, organise and prioritise your workload.  

• Collaborative team worker, individually motivated and works well without supervision.  

• Ability to record information accurately, and clearly communicate your work to others in both written and verbal formats.
