Location: Hybrid – WFH and London Office 1 day P/W
Pay Rate to Candidate: £530 pd umbrella
The Procurement team are responsible for working with Business areas to raise commercial standards across the entire buying cycle i.e. supplier planning, selection (buying goods and services) and supplier / contract management.
This role is responsible for working with very senior stakeholders to deliver savings using Category Management techniques (i.e. Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management) activities focussing on [Corporate (indirect) ][Technology] spending that is common across the Bank’s divisions and projects.
This role will provide support, services and guidance relating to best practise Strategic Sourcing / Vendor Management Policy, Governance, Process and Delivery Activity across the Bank in order to maximise value for money. The role will work closely with Procurement Analysts and Category Leaders to provide business / budget owners with Strategic Sourcing support / services as appropriate.
Minimum Essential Criteria
•A fully or partially qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement (MCIPS).
•Strong working knowledge of the Public Contract Regulations (2015)
•Previous experience of operating a Category Management i.e. strategic sourcing models & vendor management, function
•Some operational experience of leading high value, high profile strategic sourcing projects (deploying sourcing tools) in a complex and politically sensitive environment.
•Knowledge of the sub categories within [Corporate e.g. Recruitment, Learning and Development, Consultancy, Legal Services, Marketing]
•Ability to developing innovative initiatives in conjunction with Procurement Category Leaders to reduce bottom line costs and manage risk.
•Strong commercial management experience.
•Good knowledge of eProcurement systems and functionality.
•Experience of Change Management
•Experience of working cross boundary working.
