This contract with our Central Government Client is for a Production Material Co-Ordinator for 12 months. The role is located in Reading however there may have some flexibility. The pay rate is £55- £70 per hour umbrella.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
• On time delivery of material in line with the requirements of the production plan.
• Effective management of the Technical Centre’s materiel demand plan
Key Responsibilities:
• Corral, co-ordinate and manage the materiel demand plan in the relevant Technical Centre; will require continual interaction with production, manufacturing, engineering and safety SMEs.
• Provide resolution of material queries through discussion with relevant stakeholders and customers.
• Develop and maintain metrics in support of the material planning team strategy.
• Resolve and/or escalate any material related issues including root cause analysis.
• Develop and produce visual metrics (related to demand management) for the Operational Delivery Units.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Monitor stock levels and inventory report outputs and highlight and/or escalate issues appropriately.
• Attend task reviews and de-conflict any emerging material requirements.
• Generate material route cards, in line with specifications and the management of materials that require life control.
• Monitor inventory levels and stock replenishment activities to ensure items are available prior to task commencement.
• Improve processes and drive change in the department
• Promote and sponsor operational excellence and drive all actions aimed at continuous process improvement.
• Works effectively with others and building required relationships and interfaces to support delivery of the Programme.
