Our Government client is currently recruiting for a Press Officer, on a remote contract bases paying £250 P/D inside IR35 remote.

Role: Press Officer

Contract Length: 3 month contract

Location: remote

IR35: inside

Pay Rate to Candidate: Umb 250/day

Minimum Requirement:

To develop proactive PR campaigns to raise profile and reputation in trade and mainstream media, achieving high visibility and impact in preferred outlets. Create PR plans. Looking for some who has experience with communications with businesses. To support delivery of the Communications Plan through communicating impact and the benefit it creates for industry on topics including research/thought leadership, health & safety, future skills, apprenticeships, funding, training and products. To be the media’s first point of contact and providing a proactive and reactive media relations, Service to the organisation. This includes liaising with journalists, fielding queries and working with colleagues across CITB to provide media comment and reactive statements, often on tight deadlines. Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong proofreading skills, and ability to create high quality content in a range of formats, including blogs and social media content and provide guidance and advice to colleagues to do the same. Experience in planning, managing, implementing and evaluating proactive media relations strategies. Excellent communication, influencing and diplomacy skills in order to be able to achieve the right outcome.

A relevant degree, equivalent vocational qualification or experience

• Time spent in a busy in-house press office or agency environment, providing media relations advice to

senior stakeholders

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong proofreading skills, and ability to create high-quality content in a range of formats, including blogs and social media content and provide guidance

and advice to colleagues to do the same

• Political awareness in terms of both national and regional government, and arms-length bodies (ALBs)

• Experience in planning, managing, implementing and evaluating proactive media relations strategies

• Experience in reputation management and crisis communications

• Experience of working proactively with journalists in trade and national media to produce positive

media coverage

• Excellent communication, influencing and diplomacy skills in order to be able to achieve the right

outcome

Desirable

• Experience as a journalist
