Our nuclear client is currently looking for a Pega Platform Manager for a 12 months contract at £70ph inside IR35.  

 

Role: Pega Platform Manager  

Contract Length: 12 months  

Location: Whitehaven – Majority work from home  

IR35: Inside  

Pay Rate to Candidate: £55 – 70 per hour Umbrella DOE  

 

 

Minimum Requirement:  

Certified Qualifications – Pega Lead System Architect  

or System Architect  

Stakeholder engagement  

Platform management  

 

Security Clearance: SC – but BPSS ok initially if they can get SC.  

Interview Process: MS teams  

 

Drugs &Alcohol testing & DBS check –  

Please note, the candidate MUST cover the cost for any Drugs &Alcohol testing, as well as a DBS check prior to starting onsite. The candidate will not be reimbursed for these fees, without these completed, the candidate will not be granted site access and their start date will have to be moved.  

 

 

Description:  

 

Role Context & Challenges  

 

The Platform Manager will be the platform owner and enables the realisation of business value from the SEMS Toolset by working closely with the SEMS Business Architecture Team and Developers, driving scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application build, product configuration, unit testing, UAT and production deployment.  

 

By working as an interface with all parts of the business (including supply chain), the Platform Manager manages strategic planning and integrating with and influencing business & technology roadmaps.  

 

Responsibilities include:  

● Platform Ownership, providing resolution of issues both in the platform and business value from the platform  

● Developing design principles and standards, common data architecture, data and application migration strategies, support programme governance and lead a Pega community of practice across the enterprise.  

● Developing skills pipeline and set standards for roles within the platform.  

● Developing, establishing and maintaining appropriate governance for the SEMS Toolset, including representation at the appropriate governance boards  

● Delivering thought leadership and MVP builds, by being a platform advocate  

● Collaborating with members of the SEMS team, internal stakeholders and the client Pega team with a continuous focus on success.  

● Interfacing with all parts of the business to enable strategic planning, owning the development of the technology roadmap of roadmaps associated with the Pega platform.  

● Providing thought leadership and act as a continuous platform advocate  

 

The Platform Manager will work in a fast-paced programme and the ideal candidate must have ability to deal with multiple projects and competition for resource on a single platform, possessing effective prioritisation skills and the ability to preserve the overall SEMS vision whilst incorporating individual stakeholder needs.  

 

Qualifications & Experiences  

 

● Experience of TOGAF or BCS Architecture and ability to use Agile Methodologies  

● Certified Pega Lead System Architect  

● Defining data model for Pega, design data migration strategy, templates, processes and data model  

● Ability to cooperate with enterprise architects & SMES and supplement Pega architecture  

● Previous experience with handling IVS and channel integration  

● Well versed with Pega Customer Decision Hub (CDH), conversational UIs  

● Ability to define Pega layered application and enterprise class structure for reusability and extension  

● Good Implementation knowledge on Pega CRM (Customer service, Pega marketing) and Pega decisioning  

● End-to-end experience of PRPC-based application design and implementation  

● Well versed in class hierarchy, rule set hierarchy, data layer, flows, flow actions, work baskets, deployment  

● Strong in Integration components – API Integration, SOAP Service implementation in PRPC, REST, JMS and MQ Integration  

● Established relationships with Pega UK  

● Experience of delivering complex development programmes, at pace  

● Ability to manage a multidisciplinary team of solution, enterprise, technical and data architects  

● Ability to multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views, to develop solution and recommendations  

● Encourages new ways of thinking, leveraging the most right technology  

● Provides coaching and mentoring support to the team
