Role: Leasehold Property Manager

Contract Length: 6 Months from Start Date

Location: Remote/occasional visits to London office

IR35: Inside

Pay Rate to Candidate: £450/day UMB

Security Clearance: BPSS

Interview Process: 1 Stage MS Teams


The key objectives of this post are to ensure the team provides a high standard of service to leaseholders, the efficient administration of leasehold services and sales. To ensure that statutory obligations under the Landlord and Tenant Act are fully met and implemented. To ensure timely production of the Annual Service Charges. To review and make recommendations policies, procedures and controls to facilitate the proper management of the services, in consultation with leaseholders and residents associations. To Set the annual service improvement plan and key objectives. Lead on more complex Leasehold Valuation Tribunal cases and prepare witness statements as required. To review outcomes and decisions of disputed cases. To investigate and take appropriate action in respect of any cases of breach of lease. To provide a high level of service delivery and actively apply implementation of best practise to improve customer satisfaction. To ensure appropriate financial controls and procedures are in place within the team having due regard to audit requirements. To be responsible and accountable to the Head of Income and Home Ownership for achieving agreed performances, outcomes and standards.

Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Commercial experience gained within a, preferably, HMG Leasehold Property or Real Estate function within a large, matrix organisation

• Experience of DWP, National Property Controls and Ministerial contract governance processes is desirable

• Understanding of the Government model commercial lease and the Government riders

• Strategic thinker with demonstrable experience in corporate Real Estate Leadership

• Experience in financial modelling of outgoing property liabilities, and the application of good commercial principles to multi-service delivery

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Ability to use evidence to make decisions

• Strong analytical skills including research and investigation, able to analyse and manipulate data for reporting

• Ability to engage and work effectively with technical, legal and regulatory matters

• Ability to understand clients business needs and be solution based in approach

• Ability to lead and influence supplier relationships

• Working towards RICS (MRICS/FRICS) or equivalent with a preference if already held or

• Working towards Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM) or equivalent with a preference if already held.
