DESCRIPTION:

Cabinet Office HR is looking to recruit competent HR Recruitment Assistants to work within a busy operational team, Resourcing and Recruitment. The team work within a fast-paced environment where the directorate is responsible for providing recruitment related advice and services to the overall organisation, consistent of 31 business areas.

Job Description

The responsibilities of the role holder will include, but not limited to:

Supporting the team by processing a high volume of transactional requests

Supporting the department with SCS recruitment:

Working with our executive recruitment team and Government Recruitment Service, to manage the onboarding of successful candidates

Manage all aspects of the administration process

Undertake and manage security checks required for successful candidates

Build working relationships with all who are involved in the process and being the main point of contact

Handling a wide range of general HR recruitment related enquiries within the organisation

Escalating difficult or challenging enquiries to the Senior Recruitment and Resourcing Manager.

Working with the team to deliver wider recruitment and resourcing activities and projects such as graduate campaigns.

Coordinating and assisting the Senior Recruitment and Resourcing Manager with the delivery of recruitment focused workshops to the wider organisation.

Supporting management with the implementation of new Civil Service recruitment processes, Success Profiles.

Engaging corporately and professionally with the HR team and wider Cabinet Office.

Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including our shared service provider SSCL

Helping to maintain accurate data within the teams database, such as storing of sensitive staff data files.

Confident and strong communicator (written and verbal)

Able to effectively manage multiple activities simultaneously

Solutions-oriented and continuously striving to find new and improved methods of working

Excellent attention to detail

Flexible attitude to changing priorities

Have the ability to handle sensitive people issues

Desirable Experience

Previous experience working within a non-profit organisation/civil service

Previous HR experience is desirable but not essential.
