The Strategic HR & OD BP is a strategic role in support of a designated customer service area, and
as a senior HR professional, is expected to work autonomously. The Strategic HR&OD BP will be
expected to work closely with the Head of HR/OD and the wider senior management team within the
designated CCG patch to lead the provision of business focused HR solutions that are high quality,
productive and innovative
The Strategic HR & OD BP Strategic HR&OD BP will be expected to provide an effective and
professional HR/OD service to management and staff in designated CCG groups. The post holder will
provide strategic advice and guidance to both the wider HR team and CCG staff on a range of HR
areas including, organisational change, Organisational Development initiatives and complex
employment issues to provide an efficient and effective HR/OD service.
This will include active and regular participation and contribution to organisation wide and external
meetings including a range of customer and stakeholder groups.
The Strategic HR & OD BP will lead and deliver organisational development and change initiatives in
partnership with staff and managers, in order for change to be implemented effectively and proactively.
The post holder will also lead specific projects to support delivery of the workforce and organisational
development strategy, within the designated client area. .
The post holder will be based across the client sites for the majority of their time, with a requirement to
also spend time at the NEL CSU site.
Travel between NEL CSU and Client sites.

Significant experience of generalist HR working
at a senior level.
Experience of operating a HR Business Partner
approach within a complex organisation
Experience of analysis of complex information
facts and situations to determine the appropriate
