DESCRIPTION:

Specify, collect and present key performance data and analysis for services. Support service managers in ensuring that their service meets performance requirements. Communicate service performance against key indicators to internal and external stakeholders. Ensure high quality analysis of departmental transaction data. Support the procurement of the necessary digital platforms to support automated and real-time collection and presentation of data; Share examples of best practice in digital performance management across government. Identify delivery obstacles to improving transactional performance within departments and working with teams to overcome those obstacles.

Primary Responsibilities:

1) Respond to network Major Incidents in order to support the restoration of service.

2) Respond to RFIs (Requests for Information) in accordance with the set timescales.

3) Provide advice regarding network improvements and make recommendations for changes to network infrastructure to facilitate these improvements.

4) To act as part Lead for ISS Lead for Event Management Analysis by using the correct applications and tooling

5) To feed into the Event Management process. This includes operating the defined and agreed process, ensuring it interfaces with all other relevant ITIL processes, helping to set targets and reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of the process.

6) Manage, Monitor and Report on ISS Svc Ops Network Event detection and initiate appropriate action for flagged events.

7) Provide Operational monitoring and control for other Service Operation processes, ie. Event, Availability and Knowledge.

8) Liaise and support the following business/operational areas: GOSCC Duty Ops Team, Customer Services, MSP Escalation Mgrs, SMiTs team and Remedy.

9) Under direction from EnDAC S02/SO3, ENDAC Analyist Mgr may be required to represent EnDAC as a SME at the following arenas:

a. Daily Morning GOSCC Briefs as required.

b. Bi-weekly EnDAC Meeting.

c. Attend internal and external training courses in order to become compliant with Tooling, Procedures and Processes.

d. Any others as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:

Looking after MOD network – using various tools- department Looking at information, interpreting it and reporting on it and what it means Recognise where failures are, report to the right people and produce written reports Network knowledge background within IT and Networking - Ideal Riverbed experience Using bespoke systems – inhouse training provided ARX response – bespoke system Network engineer/ knowledge LAN and WAN knowledge Hit the ground running Speak technical to technical people and no technical people Motivated worker
